Fundraisers

These PTO programs are specifically focused on fundraising. All money goes toward helping our amazing teachers and making great experiences for our kids.

Tax Credit Donations

State law allows Arizonans to contribute up to $400 to public schools for extra curricular activities and then deduct that amount directly from their state income taxes through a tax credit. Contributions must be postmarked by December 31 of the year to which you want to apply your tax credit. Individuals and couples filing jointly may take advantage of this tax credit. A maximum of $200 can be deducted per individual tax return, or couples filing a joint return may deduct a maximum of $400. You must have a receipt from your school to submit with your taxes.

Your tax credit donation helps students attend extracurricular activities like athletics; art and music programs; character education; and field trips. These programs develop well-rounded students who in turn build strong communities.

Clicking here will take you to the Kyrene District Tax Credit webpage.

Please remember to select Waggoner Elementary when making your donation. Thank you!

The Waggoner PTO hosts 2 Scholastic Book Fairs each year with one in the fall and the other in the spring. Each book fair is a week-long event and provides a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reading level. Students have a chance to shop during their lunch recess and after school.

All proceeds benefit the school, library, and individual teacher classrooms.

PTO volunteers are needed to run this event and help with setup, take down, cashier, and assisting students with selections and purchases. If you are interested in volunteering, reach out to the program chairs.

We all shop for groceries, sometimes two or three times a week. Now turn those shopping trip into easy cash for your school, and encourage friends to do the same! Just look for the Box Tops logo on hundreds of products like Cheerios®, Hamburger Helper® and Kleenex®, in almost every aisle of the store. All you need to do is clip and send them to your school’s Box Tops coordinator —- each one is worth 10¢ for your school.

Box Tops is making some changes, so right now there are two ways to participate. The classic way is to clip any Box Tops off products you buy at the store (see the Product List - Click here) and send them to school with your student.

The new Box Top program is digital. You will need to download the Box Top app from the iPhone App Store or Google Play store, which you can then use to scan your receipt. Waggoner will earn 10¢ for each product on your receipt that is participating in the Box Tops program. Receipt scan must be completed within 14 days of purchase. Eventually the Box Tops for Education program will be completely digital but for now they will continue to accept clipped Box Tops if they are not expired. Please keep sending them in!

Over 100 retailers give eBoxTops to your school when you shop online at the Marketplace.

Plus, you become an Online Power Earner and can earn Bonus Box Tops!

When we participate in the following programs, Waggoner earns rebates based on the money we spend. There’s no additional out of pocket cost. Here’s how it works…

Fry’s

Fry’s Community Rewards Program: Visit www.FrysCommunityRewards.com to enroll your Fry’s V.I.P. Card online.

  1. Create an online Fry’s account.
  2. Register “Waggoner” under the Community Rewards section. If prompted, our NPO Number is 80299.
  3. Start shopping! Fry’s sends Waggoner a check based on a percentage of the sales each quarter. If you signed up in previous years, you will need to re-enroll this year.

AmazonSmile

Shopping at AmazonSmile is an automatic, easy way to support Waggoner.

  1. Log into your existing Amazon account, but at smile.amazon.com instead of amazon.com.
  2. Enter Waggoner Elementary School PTO as your chosen charitable organization.
  3. Start shopping! AmazonSmile will remember your selection for subsequent purchases. Add a bookmark to smile.amazon.com to make it even easier to return and continue shopping. Please remember to always shop at smile.amazon.com and not regular amazon.com!
